Coordinated Tops and Wrap Skirts Developed from Concept to Final Samples
The project began with the development of a coordinated women’s outfit set based on a clear visual concept.
The samples were produced with a fabric composition label showing 82% polyester and 18% elastane, giving the garments a smooth, flexible structure suitable for fitted tops and fluid skirt drape. Care labeling was also included in the sample, along with notes confirming that buttons and composition tags were part of the package.
At this stage, the garment details were reviewed to confirm:
• correct fabric composition labeling
• care instruction placement
• accessory inclusion
• alignment between the sketch concept and physical sample
Once the physical samples were ready, the garments were checked visually on mannequins and through close up construction review. The evaluation covered the shape of the mock neck and round neck versions, sleeve finish, print appearance, wrap skirt construction, and the overall balance of the full outfit.
Measurement control was also part of the review process to verify sample proportions and finishing details. The final result was a cohesive coordinated set presented in multiple colorways, with the design concept successfully translated from illustration into finished sample garments.
Not just a sample set. A clear and production ready fashion concept.
