Step 1. Concept Development, Print Direction, and Set Coordination

The client requested a playful sleepwear capsule built around light summer colors, relaxed silhouettes, and cheerful novelty graphics.

The collection featured coordinated lounge sets with a fresh, easygoing look, including a solid light blue T-shirt with subtle chest embroidery, printed pajama shorts, and an all-over illustrated lobster print set designed to create a stronger visual statement.

The creative direction focused on balancing simplicity with personality. One set relied on a clean, minimal top paired with a more expressive printed bottom, while the other used an all-over conversational print to create a more distinctive matching look.

Special attention was given to keeping the collection cohesive while allowing each set to express its own mood and character.

Step 2. Fabric Selection, Graphic Placement, and Sampling

This collection required careful coordination between silhouette, print scale, and overall visual balance. The light blue T-shirt was developed with a clean silhouette and a tonal embroidered chest detail reading “get your bun in the sun,” giving the style a subtle branded finish. It was paired with printed shorts featuring playful beach-inspired motifs, creating a casual lounge set with a light seasonal feel.
The second set introduced a more graphic direction through an all-over print featuring cartoon lobsters, cocktail glasses, bows, and scattered accent elements. Because this design relied heavily on print repetition and visual rhythm, sampling was important to confirm that the pattern remained balanced across the garment and read clearly from both the front and back.
Construction sampling also helped refine the shape, proportion, and finishing of each piece. Neckline shape, sleeve balance, hem cleanlines, and overall set coordination were reviewed to ensure the final garments looked polished while maintaining a relaxed, comfortable appearance.

During production, the focus was placed on print consistency, embroidery clarity, and clean finishing throughout the collection.
