Step 1. Defining the Product Direction and Brand Placement

This project began with a clear objective: to develop a clean, versatile crewneck sweatshirt with a refined branded finish and a reliable production-ready fit.

The client wanted a classic sweatshirt silhouette that would feel minimal and wearable, while still carrying a distinct visual identity through chest embroidery.

The embroidered FOM logo became the key branding element, which meant its scale, placement, and clarity had to be carefully balanced against the simplicity of the garment itself.

At this stage, we focused on the overall product direction, the sweatshirt silhouette, and the visual relationship between the body proportions and the embroidered chest artwork.

Step 2. Sample Review, Measurement Control, and Embroidery Evaluation

A key part of this project was making sure the sweatshirt performed well not only visually, but also technically.
The sample review process included detailed measurement checks across the garment, including body length, chest width, and logo placement. Because the design relied on a small embroidered chest detail rather than a large print or graphic application, precision was especially important. Even a minor shift in logo position or scale could affect the balance of the final product.
We also reviewed the embroidery itself to ensure the artwork remained clean, legible, and consistent across different garment colors. The logo needed to retain its sharp appearance on both white and black sweatshirts while preserving the intended branded look.
Special attention was given to proportion, symmetry, and consistency so the sweatshirt would feel polished, commercially wearable, and ready for repeat production.

Step 3. Fit Refinement and Final Sample Adjustment

Once the initial sample had been reviewed, we moved into the refinement stage.
Special attention was given to:

chest width and overall body proportion;
body length measurement;
logo size and placement;
embroidery clarity and consistency;
rib collar and hem balance;
clean construction and finishing.

Although the garment itself followed a clean and minimal direction, the development process required precision. In products like this, the final result depends on accurate measurements, balanced branding, and reliable construction rather than on complex visual elements.
The final outcome was a refined custom crewneck sweatshirt that combined understated branding with production-ready consistency. A clean, wearable, and well-balanced essential, developed with careful attention to fit, measurement accuracy, and embroidery detail.
