Step 1. Concept Development and Production Planning

The client wanted to create two branded polo shirts — one white and one blue — with custom branding on the chest and back. The goal was to maintain a consistent visual identity across both styles, select suitable materials, and develop a production plan that could accommodate smaller order quantities.

Step 2. Fabric, Color and Production Sourcing

The blue color was a key part of the project. The client wanted the finished polo to closely match the shade of a previously reviewed reference sample.
Our team explored the available material options and prepared fabric catalogs and physical swatches so the client could compare color, texture, weight, and overall feel.
The expected order volume also played an important role in supplier selection. Many factories required a minimum order of 300 pieces per color, while the client was considering quantities between 50 and 150 pieces.

We identified a production solution that allowed us to develop physical samples and provide costing for the quantities the client was considering.
After comparing the available materials, the client selected the fabric used for the white polo as the reference for future styles in additional colors.

Step 3. Sampling and Detail Refinement

Throughout the sampling process, our team reviewed:
material consistency across both styles;
the accuracy of the blue shade;
branding quality and placement;
consistency between the white and blue polos;
key construction details;
suitability for future small-batch production.
During the review, several production details required further refinement. We continued working with the suppliers to improve fabric consistency, color matching, and branding placement.
Once sampling was complete, the white and blue polo samples were delivered to the client together with additional material options for evaluation.
With physical samples in hand, the client could compare the fabrics, colors, branding execution, and overall product direction before deciding on the specifications and volume of a future order.
Built around the brand’s visual direction and realistic production requirements, the project established a tangible foundation for the next stage of the collection.
One concept. Two coordinated colors. A clearer path to production.
