Different constructions, individually sourced materials, one cohesive concept
The client came to us to develop a capsule collection consisting of three very different styles: a swimsuit, a body-skimming dress, and a two-piece set. Although the collection followed one overall design direction, each garment required its own technical package, material selection, trims, and production solution.
The most technically demanding piece in the collection was the swimsuit with rigid molded cups. The original design required custom-shaped cups, which would have involved dedicated tooling and a high minimum order quantity.
To create a sample without unnecessary development costs at this stage, we adapted the construction while preserving the intended support, fit, and visual identity of the design. We also selected a softer transparent waistband for the swimsuit in line with the client’s preferences.
Special attention was given to:
checked print accuracy
swimsuit structure and support
stretch material selection
fit of the body-skimming dress
fabric and strap matching for the two-piece set
compliance with the technical packages
finishing quality and workmanship
One of the samples did not meet the expected standard, so it was sent back for refinement before shipment to the client.
Once all three samples were completed, they went through visual inspection and final measurement checks. We confirmed that each style matched the approved specifications and that the collection remained visually cohesive despite the differences in construction and materials.
The finished samples were then shipped to the client. She was pleased with the result and requested only one adjustment for the next stage: replacing the fabric of the black dress with a lighter option for future production.
After sample approval, the client moved forward with pre-orders, while our team prepared pricing calculations for future runs and the transition to bulk production.
The final result was a capsule collection of three distinct styles, each developed through its own technical path while staying true to one unified concept.
Three different styles. Three individual technical solutions. One collection ready for the next stage.
